Michael Koech is a self-driven and results oriented Safety, Health, Environment (EHS) and Sustainability practitioner based in Nairobi, Kenya, with extensive national and international experience in Safety and Environment policy and practice, climate change principles and world-class manufacturing, telecommunications, and agricultural industry.

He has over 20 years working experience including as EHS and Sustainability Manager at Unilever, Savannah Cement, Safaricom PLC, GSMA and currently at Airtel Africa as Environment and Social Lead.

Michael has been instrumental in implementation of key environment and sustainability initiatives which include e-waste management, ISO 14001 certification, Climate Change policy and carbon footprint management. He is a board member of National e-waste management committee (Kenya), Producer Responsibility Organization and Kenya Private Sector Environment Sector.
